Same flowers, same designers, no waiting room. Order online and collect at your own hour, or let yourself in and shop the shelves like any other shop. We’re open from six in the morning until eleven at night, seven days a week, and we deliver most of Clayton until 10 PM.

Most florists stop delivering by early afternoon. We keep going. Order a ready-made arrangement from our shelves and a local courier can have it at the door the same evening, up to 10 PM, seven days a week.
Here’s exactly how it works
- Ready-made arrangements only. Evening delivery pulls from what is physically finished and on the shelf tonight. Custom and funeral work is designed by hand the next business day.
- Within 10 miles of the shop. Measured by road from 11440 Clayton Blvd. Enter your address before you pay and the site tells you yes or no, along with the flat delivery fee.
- Subject to courier availability. Deliveries run through a network of local couriers. If no courier is free, the option will not appear and you will not be charged for it. Pickup stays open until 11 PM either way.
- Flat fee, no surge. The delivery fee is set by distance and shown before you pay. It does not climb because it is late or busy.
Address checking and same-evening delivery cover the ready-made collection. Made-to-order arrangements, sympathy work, and event flowers follow our regular schedule with a 1 PM cutoff for next-day delivery. Call (984) 250-7771 if you are not sure which one you need.

Our shelves are stocked and the door opens for all of it, and our designers are on site Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 2 PM, if you want to talk to a person.

How the self-service shop works
One small room, three ways to use it. Everything is collected inside, and the door unlocks for you when it is your turn.
Reserve, then collect
Order online any time. When your flowers are set aside, you get a text with a door link and the item number that is yours. Tap the link when you arrive, the door opens, you take your arrangement and go.
Browse the shelves
Check in with a card at the door and shop what is there: fresh arrangements, plants, faux designs, balloons, gifts. Scan the tag on anything you want, pay on your phone, walk out.
Send it across town
Ready-made arrangements can be couriered to most Clayton addresses the same evening, up to 10 PM. Check your address at checkout before you pay.

Why we hold $25 at the door
Nobody is at the register at 10 PM, so the door checks your card instead. A temporary $25 hold confirms the card is good. You pay for what you actually take, and nothing else.
The $25 hold is placed when you check in and released when you go. Nothing is charged. How fast the hold clears is up to your bank, usually a day or two.
You scan what you picked, pay $75 on your phone, and that is the only charge. The $25 hold is part of that total, not on top of it.
No cash is accepted or kept in the self-service shop. Cash and cards are both welcome in person during staffed hours, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 2 PM. The room is monitored by camera, and the door stays locked until check-in is complete.

Where to go when you get here
We are at 11440 Clayton Blvd, Clayton, NC 27520, in the same building as Bonnie Burns State Farm. Our main shop door is the first one. The self-service shop is the second door, marked with a Self-Service sign, and it has its own parking right in front.
Scan the code on that door, check in on your phone, and the lock releases. Self-service runs 6 AM to 11 PM daily. Designers are on site Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 2 PM.

The hours people actually need flowers
People need flowers at all hours. Almost never between nine and five.
- 6 to 8 AM. Visitation at a funeral home later that morning, and nowhere else is open yet.
- Sunday, all day. Every other florist in Johnston County is closed.
- After 7 PM. The anniversary is tomorrow and this is the first quiet minute of the day.
- Hospital and rehab visits that do not fit anyone’s business hours.
- Second shift and night shift. If you work while shops are open, you have never once bought flowers on your own schedule.

Is this a flower vending machine?
No. It is a real room in a real flower shop, with shelves and a cooler, and you walk around in it. Nothing is behind glass and nothing drops out of a chute. The arrangements were made by hand at this address earlier the same day.
How late can flowers be delivered in Clayton?
Ready-made arrangements can be delivered until 10 PM, seven days a week, to addresses within 10 miles of 11440 Clayton Blvd, when a local courier is available. Enter your address at checkout and the site confirms it before you pay. Made-to-order and sympathy work follows our regular schedule with a 1 PM cutoff.
What are your hours?
The self-service shop is open 6 AM to 11 PM, every day, including weekends and most holidays. Designers are on site Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 2 PM, for custom work, funeral orders, and anything you would rather discuss with a person.
Do you take cash?
Not in the self-service shop, and there is no cash kept in the room overnight. Cards only after hours. During staffed hours, Monday through Friday 9 AM to 2 PM, we take both.
What is the $25 hold on my card?
It confirms your card works before the door opens, since nobody is at the register. If you buy nothing, the hold is released. If you buy something, you are charged for that and nothing more. Bank processing times vary by a day or two.
How do I know which arrangement is mine?
Prepaid pickups are collected by item number. Your text tells you the number, and the tag on the shelf matches it. Orders placed during staff hours by our designers are always made custom for you earlier in the day, when you arrive to get them, it will be labeled with your name instead. All items that are reserved will be displayed as reserved on the hold screen.
Can I order funeral or wedding flowers here?
Order them from us, yes, but not from the shelf. Sympathy pieces, casket sprays, and event work are designed to order and need a conversation, so call the shop at (984) 250-7771 or reach us during staffed hours. The self-service shelves are for what is ready now, but we do have some plant options that would be appropriate for a funeral service and we also have ready made silk arrangements on ready made inside the self-service shop, perfect for the funeral service or at the grave site.
Is anyone watching the room?
Yes. The shop is live monitored and recorded by camera and audio 24/7 for everyone’s safety, which is posted at check-in. One customer at a time, so the room is always yours while you are in it and all activity from check-in to check-out is tracked and linked to your session.
What if I need help while I’m inside?
Call Lily at (919) 879-3129 from inside the room. She can answer questions about products and prices, take a payment, or reach us. For an emergency, call 911 first; the green exit button by the door always opens the room, no matter what.

About this shop
Clayton Florist is a local Johnston county family-run flower shop on Clayton Blvd. In 2026 we opened a second door beside the workroom and turned it into a self-service shop, so people could buy real, hand-designed flowers at the hours they actually have free.
